Makita DGA517Z 18-Volt LXT Lithium-Ion 5 in. Brushless Angle Grinder with Paddle Switch (Tool Only) is a cordless angle grinder with two stage safety paddle switch, electric brake, and variable speed control dial, delivering 3, 000 up to 8, 500 rpm to enable the user to match the speed to the application, anti-restart and safety paddle switch. The brushless motor eliminates carbon brushes, enabling the motor to run cooler and more efficiently for longer life. With spiral bevel gears for smoother rotations and more efficient transfer of energy, wire mesh intake covers to prevent debris from entering the motor and removable dust covers. Features automatic torque drive technology (add), automatically changes the cutting speed according to the load for optimum operation and active feedback sensing technology (aft), shuts down the tool to protect the user if the rotation speed suddenly slows down.
